DANGER ZONE - 7" Single 1977
MY NAME IS JACK - A tour-de-force performance from Steve Treatment on this cover of the Manfred Mann classic, recorded in a Fulham rehearsal studio in May 2000.
Steve Treatment - his first 7"
single since 1979!

Steve Treatment was a pioneer of the 1970s DIY recording scene. He released three singles from 1977 to 1979 on his own label or with the Swell Maps on their record label. Although he kept writing and recording throughout the 80s and 90s nothing was officially released until Hyped2Death records in the USA brought out a double CD of his complete works.
In 2003 Topplers Records got in touch with Steve and he started to collaborate with our 'house band' The NoMen. In 2005 they released this 7" single featuring five tracks by Steve Treatment with the NoMen backing him on a variety of new songs and new versions of older tracks. Steve hasn't lost his edge! This is as amateurish and energetic as his 70s recordings.
"Mr
Treatment shows he still has a strange and appealing handle on leftfield
basement pop, although he seems a bit less relient on Marc Bolan
as a spirit guide. Anyway, this is a great bowl of weevil from one
of England's originals."
